Wiw - 68 swb gmc
Hello all, i was wondering what this is worth. I think i found a dimond in the rough but want to make a realistic offer.
Truck is a 68 GMC custom. Fleetside short bed. 6 cyl 3 in the tree. 62000 org miles and a stack of maint rec dating back to when purchased new. ORG owner. it has lived i a garage all its life. when i say no rust, i mean NO rust. rockers and corners perfect. only spot was driver side small bubble under windsheild weather stripping. it is on leafs, tag titled and inspected. truck is a centeral texas truck and has been all its life. 91 year old owner had hip replacement and cannot drive anymore, hit garage and wrinkled the pass side fender. org radio, org paint, org floor mat, org... org... org... Bed is metal floor. Body, Pass fender creased, front bumber pulled outta wack, dent in driver side rocker pnl, driver side fender dent at eyebrow, bed dent passenger side, rear bumper bolted to body, dented at rear, grill dented bottom pass side no power steering or power brakes Please help!!! thanks Darrell |

$2500-$3500 Depending on how it runs, stops, mechanical stuff. If it were straight, no dents / minor stuff I might pay a little more but .. I think $3500 or so would be my top.

Nice original truck, but needs a lot of work. All of those things you mentioned start to add up on cost, so as is, I would estimate closer to 2500, tops.

Trucks in original condition like that are few and far between. I would not feel bad about paying $3,500 for that truck.

start low!!! i would throw out $1800 and see what he says. i think everyone is in the right range $2500-$3500. even at $4500 you wouldn't be getting ripped off if it's what you wanted. what a great find.

after looking through the reciept history from the local mechanic and driving the truck, it was a real no brainer. i will do a welcome on the board once i get is washed. thanks again |
