I know that we have been through this before, but I would like to see those trucks with Escalade, Tahoe, Yokon, or cadilac seats! or something Cool!

how do you like them

id like to get black but my truck is red and red seat belts not a good combo. i wana keep the back bench for the 6 year old (could spill something) i guess vinal is the way to go

My seats are from a 94 Cadillac Sedan deville. I have not finished the install and am still fabricating the brackets but it is a pretty basic install. I have remove the factory steel riveted on mounting tabs(these are riveted to aluminum) and am using Recaro seat brackets for these trucks. No modifications are required for the floor and they are full power with heat! These are readily available at most wrecking yards and easy to find parts for if anything goes wrong with them. It is actually easiest to get 93 and earlier seats as the wiring is MUCH simpler. Great seats, easy to make low backs out of and you can stick to Gm products this way! I had factory lowbacks installed in my CC and loved the look of them but the comfort level left A LOT to be desired. Since mine is a CC I wanted something that reclined.

Here are the Cadillac seats I will be using. I really don't understand why more people don't use these as they are great seats and don't require the floor modifications like the Chevy truck ones do. These are only 10 and 1/2" from bottom of the mounting bracket to the top of the seat cushion.

IMHO, the best seats are Recaros, but they are big bucks. I saw a racing style seat at O'Reillys today and it looked real nice for $152. I don't know if they sell adapters, but it was in the style of a Recaro.
I had a pair of base model Recaros in my two Hondas and I flat wore them out after about 400K miles between the two cars. I had a lot of trouble getting repair parts to rebuild the strapping under the seats, but, man, they were the most comfortable and supportive seats ever.
All that said, I would look for late model Silverado/Sierra with integral seat belts. I think you will have to jack the seats up to adapt them to a square, but they are nice seats. Unless you are a 6+ footer like me, it won't be a problem.
I would never rebuild the stock seat again - the stock seat is just too uncomfortable.

What year caddy? I started messingnwith some suburban seats and gave up because they were to close to the steering wheel.

I know a guy who put those (i think) exact ones in his 87 burb
still got to wire them but,i saw them yesterday looked good
it was raining so no pics

I have always loved Recaros and have them in 3 of my other vehicles. I agree with the lower strap issues. I have my upholstery shop redo them with seatbelt strap or use the late model Recaro straps that are rubber coated mesh. They hold up so much better than the earlier style strap.
That being said I chose the Cadillac seat as I want to do them as lowback and have them look close to factory seats once upholstered. I just don't want them to look out of place in the truck. I thought REALLY hard about putting one of my sets of Recaros in the truck but it just wasn't the look I wanted.
The late model Silverado/Sierra seats are just too involved in my opinion since you have to cut out the whole floor to get them to sit low enough in our trucks.

These are 1994 seats out of a sedan deville. There are a few different styles in different models but they are all pretty much the same.

Those caddy seats look nice and if you don't have to cut the floor that's a huge plus. I honestly don't see what all the fuss is about the late model truck seats, they don't seem to fit the squares that well and then what do you do with holes left over from your factory seat belts. I don't recall the seats in the newer gm trucks to be all that comfortable either.

The caddy seats are super comfortable and I like them better than the truck seats. Plus they are super easy to find in nice condition. To anyone considering pulling a pair for themselves at the wrecking yard be prepared for some difficulty.The rear bolts are very hard to get to as the seat is almost always far enough back to have the tracks sitting over them. I fought with a couple sets before I realized it is easiest to unhook the plastic around the edges of the bottom seat cushion. I then removed the 4 bolts for the motor that moves the seat back and forth. Lifted the motor up and just slid the seat forward.

Here is my crew cab with 2005 Cadillac CTS, heated leather, full power seats.

I wanted to retain the "hump" look and so that the carpeting would fit like it should. I recessed it into the hump so that the bottom of the plastic cover would be level with the carpet. I tried to make it look factory, I think its close.

I'm 6.0 ft tall and have plenty of room.

Still working on the center console!
