Abandoned project
Here is an example of an abandoned project that has a lot of the hard work done. Pro street set up with the frame work done. Comes with full short fleetside bed, relatively rust free cab, engine (less blower) and a bunch of spare parts. At just a tick over 2K with no reserve located in KS. Guy claims over 16K in parts and labor receipts not counting his labor investment.

Re: Abandoned project
I missed the reserve, that makes a difference. Probably close to or equal to the BIN.

Re: Abandoned project
I'd think it probably is pretty close to that. 6900 for all that doesn't sound too bad if a guy is into the pro street look.

Re: Abandoned project
That is what I was thinking, the rear end, tires and wheels, long block and front suspension are worth the price if you are starting from scratch. I have never cared for the pro stock look myself.

Re: Abandoned project
My buddy would wet on his shoes over a truck like that but he loves the pro street look. This is a shot of the rear of the chassis for his 48 that is a lifetime project.
I've been in the bar ditches three times with the 48 when I had N-50 tires on it and have little use for real wide tires on a street driven truck anymore. They love to hydroplane in rain storms. |
