Re: shortbed bed sides??
I've been looking for just one side for some time now. Your only hope is to find someone that is parting one out. I've found 2 on Ebay, complete beds, but they were all too far away to pickup.
Keep an eye out on these boards, Craigslist, and Ebay and hopefully something will show up at some point.

Re: shortbed bed sides??
They're hard to find, most of the ones I see are complete beds.
I've been looking for months for the driver side and found a complete bed 100 miles away for $400 on CL. The header, tubs, cross sills all in good shape, the drivers side really nice, the passenger side somebody tried to cut and weld. Considering how hard I've been looking, I was glad to hand him the money, he even split the fuel for the trip. He sent photos, but it was hard to see them. The stuff ended up being exactly as he described. There are a lot of flakes on CL, but some good ones out there, too. Good luck! |

Re: shortbed bed sides??
I am guessing that nobody makes them yet because they are less popular and harder to make than 67-72. As I said, it's just my guess, but the shape and two piece seam and the back caps would seem like it's harder, but I still think they are missing out on an opportunity. I also think MAR-K is missing out by not making the custom cab back strip across the cab between the custom cab sails that were done in 1960.

Re: shortbed bed sides??
I have been looking in Kansas for a long while. I found one on a local classified ad for 75 dollars when I was working on my 66 lwb and I bought it and sold it to my brother, now he is using it on his project and I have a 65 swb and in need of a bed. Go figure haha

Re: shortbed bed sides??
I have both sides. The only problems with them are the rear area below the tail light spot. I have repair panels for those and a small dent on ps rear about 4" long and 1/2" deep.
Here is the kicker, I don't want to sell them but... I would trade them for a small camper. Like a Shasta canned ham type. I know they are high sometimes but, they can be had in useable shape for reasonable. If this interests you, please let me know. I also have some decent front fenders with rust through behind the wheel opening I would include if needed. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: shortbed bed sides??
Well ....
I am always looking for shortbed fleetside bedsides...everything out my way is rusted and toast. But i have bought nearly perfect long box sides and cut them down into short box sides i was so desperate. It's a bunch of work but you can end up with nearly perfect sides if you start out with good sides. I did that for my prostreet truck and it worked out awesome. But depending on who you talk to the wheel opening on a long box is 1.5" wider then a short box....There are a couple good threads if you search it. My prostreet thread shows some of it but there are better threads on doing the modification
