Power steering
Will this work for my 66, some kits say for small block or v8. I have a250 l6.

Board member Capt.Fab makes a nice adapter and is a wealth of info for these conversions. IIRC his plate doesn't require drilling out the steering box and comes with detailed instructions (possibly a template as well). Great guy to deal with!

ya check out captainfab, i just ordered his plate and his tube and flange kit. Cant wait to get it in and get it done. He will help ya out and save you some money too

Thanks guys, I looked at what he has to offer,but I want a whole kit with pump, steering box and all brackets etc. The CPP has a kit I just need to know if that would work, if not then what would?

Even buying new (it's reman stuff, but it does have a lifetime warranty) stuff at your local parts store will be cheaper than the kit. The kit is nice, but you pay a lot for convenience. Plus the shipping cost to get all of that heavy stuff to your house. It's all dependent on how fat your wallet is

I do have the brkt that mounts to the cyl head but not the rest of it. I do also have the complete 250 mounting but I am debating whether or not that I am going to put it on my one ton ron your link is as it says for a v8 |

As already said, the pump bracket in that kit will not work on a 250 I6. There is an ebay seller that makes very nice power steering pump brackets for the I6's. Otherwise you will have tofind a OEM set. But be aware that you will need the brackets for the style of head that is on your 250 I6. There is the non-integrated head and the integrated head. With the integrated head, the head and the intake manifold is one piece. The other issue, is finding the necessary pulleys for power steering on the 250 I6.

There is a power steeing conversion thread some place that might help you...but off the top of my head and i have done a few v-8 steering conversions. The bracket that bolts to the bock probaly won't fit the 6 if it fits the 8 but not 100% sure.....I know there is more the one rag joint connector some of the splines are different( you would have to count yours and confirm ) the box and adapters thats all easy and should fit. Guessing the lines are long enough to fit ( just check a 6 to 8 engine picture for length ) the pump itself is the same so you might just need a new 6 bracket to the pump and block.....
