Steering Column

The PO of my truck put a mid 80s van steering column and power steering assembly in my truck. I hate the look of the column and the steering wheel but LOVE the power steering. Is it possible to get an aftermarket column and use it with my existing power steering set up? This may be a stupid question but I am new to this. Up until lately, I spent all my limited mechanical abilities working on Harleys. They are SO simple...

Re: Steering Column

By the way welcome to forum. Yes there are a few companies out there on aftermarket columns. I am running a 71 power steering box in a 64 truck. I went to flaming river for my column. I ordered it complete with everything. Beautiful polished stainless steel. I even got the indicator for my overdrive transmission, column shifter no key. I retained the ignition switch on the dash. I had the column kit in within 5 days. I really like it. Easy install. No surprises.
