Valve clatter
What would cause valve clatter after I drive the truck for awhile. What I mean, 1982 C20 4x4 350 auto. It runs great but as I drive it and it warms up, the clatter comes in. It's not getting hot, you can get out and there is no heat to the engine. I actually have the truck for sale and I would really like to find out what is doing this before it goes. I even have the timing set at TDC. now it has the smaller BALANCER on it and it needs the big one, but that wouldn't cause it would it

Re: Valve clatter
Improper valve lash, insufficient oiling....a cam with a fast ramp profile (Comp XE series).

Re: Valve clatter
I believe the motor is stock. I checked the valve lash on one side but got lazy and didn't do they other side. What do you mean about improper oiling
