Parking brake cable question

Hey guys. Posting for a friend who has a 1984 K10, sits on a 76 or 77 frame and axles. He has no cables or anything and needs them.

My question to you folks (Told him I'd do some research lol) is should he get the cables that come from the cab (from the foot pedal thing) for an 84? Or are they all the same? And where could brackets that the cables connect to be located? Nothing is there at all.

Thanks guys.

Re: Parking brake cable question

He needs the pedal cable for a 76 and all other parts for a 76 to make it work. It can also be converted to 84 and up but you will need a frame bracket off a donor 84 and up frame to make it work.

This is the routing for 73-83
