coil spring help!!

so when I bought my truck, it had a hokey suspenion lift, with REALLY tall front springs. Both ends were the same, as in no big and small end. My question is, which way does the small end go in, up or down? I have a '67 C20. thanks, Scott

Re: coil spring help!!

there is a "pig tal" end and a "square end" the pig tali end goes up into the crossmsmber and settles in a "retainer". If the pig tail end does not seet correctly in the upper cup it will sit funny. It is not a complicated process, just a paticular one. have fun.
