WTB 12 Bolt Posi Rear End
Looking for a 12 bolt Posi Rear End for my '70 C10 with a 3.73 or 4.11 or any gear for that matter.
Anyone have one laying around that you want to get rid of? BAT Last edited by BAT; 11-15-2012 at 02:25 PM. |

I do but I'm in WA and I'm not sure it would be worthwhile shipped.

I am willing to pay the freight if you can put it on a skid. Also, would need to be for coil springs. I'd be willing to bet that someone has got one laying around that they don't need anymore.

Re: WTB 12 Bolt Posi Rear End
I have one from a 71 cheyene, I know it is a posi if the glove compartment sticker is right and the axle is still on the truck with coil springs. The problem is a guy is suppose to look at the frame on Sunday and possibly purchase it. No deal with him yet, I will repost you if he does not take it, I am in Hammond, In so you could probably come and get in person if we make a deal.

Re: WTB 12 Bolt Posi Rear End
I do not know if it matters but unless I missed something, your rear end should be 6 lug wheels and the one in a 71 Cheyenne is 5 lug wheels.
Are you needing a complete rear end to bolt in and go or to fix up? I have one that is supposed to be out of a 68. It is a 3:73 posi coil spring 6 lug rear end. It has been sitting out for a while before I got it. All I have done is pull the rear cover and it looked ok inside but rusty outside. Thanks

Re: WTB 12 Bolt Posi Rear End
Ultimately I am wanting to have a 5 lug, if I buy a 6 lug rear it will need to be 70 - 72 for I already have the 5 lug axles. The 67 - 69 rear end axles are shorter than the 70 - 72.

Todd68,
I'd be interested in just the posi and gears if BAT passes, pending price.

Re: WTB 12 Bolt Posi Rear End
I thought it was only a very few late built 70 rear ends that were the same as 71-72. No problem on my end, good luck on your search. Thanks

Still looking if anyone has one laying around. Just found out that ECE sells the mounts so it could be from a later model as well...

Have you checked with Teeitup? Randy has a couple trucks that he's parting out this weekend.
You also might check with this guy. Bob is a good guy and has a lot more parts laying around that what is listed in this CL add. http://kansascity.craigslist.org/pts/3414999142.html
