Sectioned 65 lwb
So a lot of you saw this truck for sale on Craigslist ! I have wanted this thing for 6 years it was originally picked up by a friend of mine as a a roller that was sectioned already ! It was bagged and the 59-60 impala dash was started then sat around for a few years then my buddy picked it up and started with another frame , it now has front porterbuilt drop member and truck bar rear weld in notch kit with all the porter built stuff and a switchspeed accuair setup ( going to upgrade to e-level )and is running a 350/350 combo ! It's needs some stuff on the cab buttoned up with the section and body work also a bed floor and exhaust ! So I'm going to finish off the metal work and body work this winter and its getting an satin paint job with a flaked and patterned roof and dash !!

Re: Sectioned 65 lwb
Wow, its enough to make my "stock-nazi" heart shudder!!
Now, that took some work and some welding wire. Finish her up and drive the wheels off her.

Re: Sectioned 65 lwb
It's funny I didn't like the grill at all on this truck ,and even got a aluminum chevy grill for it ! But now I think I'm going to use the gmc grill and lose the Buick center bar and use some polished expanded stainless with door knobs!!

Re: Sectioned 65 lwb
If its no bother could you put up some pics of the inside of the doors and a pic of the tail gate.
That is an 'ol skool style build that a guy can really dig. Subscribed. |

Re: Sectioned 65 lwb
I keep saving these photos to my "radicals" folder... keep 'em coming....
I am curious to see the blend where the section was taken out... also the back edge(new profile of the door).. did the tailgate get sectioned? when I did mine I could have left the gate full size if I had wanted...

Re: Sectioned 65 lwb
So I'm going to ditch the Buick center bar infavor for some polished stainless expanded metal and drawer pulls should have it done sometime tomorrow ! Also can't decide if I should run a chrome stock bumper or a 60,61 or 62 impala bumper ! Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Sectioned 65 lwb
I would go a chrome stock bumper with the bumper guards to fill the void of the emblemless GMC grill. Thats the setup I want to run. Its so hard to find a GMC grill though!

Re: Sectioned 65 lwb
I making a new insert peice for the voided area . Still not 100% on the gmc grill plan was to swap the grill out for a 1960 impala or a Monterey grill originally !! Gmc grill kind of grew on me just up in the air about it !
