Injector Size?

I have performed four basic LS swaps. Only one did I cam. I am thinking of stroking a 6.0 truck block to a 408 or 416. No turbo or supercharger. If I am not adding a power adder that requires more fuel, will I have to increase my injector size from stock?

I would say no, but your tuner will let you know if you are getting close to maxing out your injectors.

The stock truck injectors are pretty small and use most of their duty cycle to fuel the truck as is. I' suggest something like the 39 lb/hr Ford injectors; including the clips they don't cost most than $150 or so.

my tuner provided my efi setup. the injectors he gave me for a 500+hp setup are 50# Chrysler injectors...with room to grow.

I probably would too, another option is either "stock" 8.1 truck injectors or "8.1 Marine" injectors. The marine injectors flow more. These are both plug and play with the truck harness and truck intake. I used them before I went turbo. They give a little wiggle room.

imo a cost of marine injectors is a chunk more than ev1/ev6 injectors and plugs for them. If you outrun the marine injectors, you have to have custom flowed ones made...whereas if you switch to ev1/ev6 plugs you have more options, cheaper and more available.

Gentlemen, I really appreciate all of the information. You have given me a good foundation of information to make a decision from. Again, my plans are for a 408 or 416 LS, no turbo or supercharger. So, I just want to make an educated decision.

You might want to spend some time searching through the FAQ and the various builds, as well as spending some time over @ ls1tech.

Short answer is yes...but you have to change to the car front drive accessories. You'd also have to get the fuel rail with it as well, and run the vette-style returnless fuel filter setup.

You also need to change the wiring harness at the injector clips, from the truck MultecII injector clips to the EV1 clips. There really is no gain to running stock ls6 injectors, you'll still outpace them, they are only 28lb injectors.

You can pick up the Siemens 60 lb/hr for a good deal, used. That will give you room to grow if you do go with a power adder down the road (including a dry nitrous setup) or E85. Not necessary, but an option if you're going to buy injectors anyway.
