Fan clutch
It looks like I have room to put a fan clutch on my 292. Opinions on thermal or non-thermal?

Re: Fan clutch
I used a GM thermal fan, on an OE-Certified Mopar 7-blade HD fan on the 350 in my '61 Suburban. The Mopar fan was the biggest I could find, and fit perfectly in the opening of my factory fan shroud.
I never got around to putting on the fan shroud, and even without it, and with the fan set so far back from the radiator, it keeps the truck cool. I think the Mopar fan was for a BB with A/C application, and it was about 1/2-inch in diameter bigger than a Chevy BB fan with A/C. -Brad
