Carbed LS Swap pics/challenges
Thought I'd make a thread on this to see other builds like mine.
My Biggest challenge looking back was probably the drive train. Mounting the transmission crossmember, shortening the driveshaft, and mounting the engine gave me some trouble (I guess being in a gravel driveway doesn't help) The previous owner had a fender bender and one frame rail was about 1/2 inch too far back. Had to use the good ol' come-a-long to line everything back up

Re: Carbed LS Swap pics/challenges
I am picking up my 4.8 this weekend to install in my 68 pickup. I am looking at this setup instead of the factory system. Does your intake have EGR or Not and what carb did you use? Have you had the engine running yet.
thanks, |

I like the way it looks by the way with the Red accents.

What headers are those? Any trimming or fitment issues?
