carb questions

i ordered a carb for my truck its a 2bbl rochester
and the only difference is something i spotted if u can see in the pic im not sure
what it is or whats it for, or where it goes connected there

my old carb does not have that

anyone know?

also on second picture something goes connected there? where can i find this wire at? whats it for?

I think that hooks to A/C compressor so when it kicks on it increases idle speed by kicking out to throttle linkage....but maybe someone else here familiar with 2V carbs can shed some light.

If I read the id number in the first pic correctly as 17059762, you have a Varajet II Model E2SE. I think the 3 pin connector is for a throttle position sensor. I agree with 88Jimmy4x4 on the 2nd one. I think what you have is off of an early computer controlled vehicle.

my old carb is not a computer controlled car, and it has that connection that goes to the a/c, jusy wasnt hooked up, but now i hooked it up thanks guys,
still have problems with the 3 pin connector, would i be able to wire it up or will do fine without it??

Correct, the single wire is the ISC (Idle Speed Compensator) and ups the idle when the A/C is on. The 3 prong connector is for a TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) meaning the carb is for a ECM equipped truck. It will work fine disconnected.
