help an old truck live again. question.
hey everyone. I have a 72 with the 250 l6. 3 speed on the floor. It has a mild cam and headders and a 4 brl offy intake. Bored .30 over with new flat top pistons. It had a 2 brl holly adapted but it had fuel issues. I found a single barrel intake here at a local bone yard. Now i am thinking of getting a new or remanned monojet carb for it. Will this be enough to run the truck? I dont need performance just want it to run and hopefully last. Thank you. Any help is much appreciated.
I've got the truck on the lift all winter to finally finish it! |

Re: help an old truck live again. question.
i think it would be up to you , if i had a offy 4 bbl intake i would get a new or rebuilt carb for it...that's what i would do...i would love to upgrade my monojet to a offy 4 bbl carb set up. but that"s me. what kind of 2 bbl issue's are you having...it might be cheaper to just kit your carb.

I would buy a new 450cfm Holley for it.

Good time for a fuel injection upgrade.
