Shock suggestions please

Does anyone have any recommendations for drop shocks? Which ones to avoid? How do your drop shocks ride? Should I just try & get shorter fronts or get some relocators?

Doestch Tech shocks all the way. with as low as your truck is, make sure you get shock extenders for the rear.

I'd have to agree, go with the Doetsch Techs. They are definitely the best one's I've used on my truck so far. I have about a 6/8 drop and you can really tell when you get a set that works well.

Doetsch Tech's are really good shocks. I have also had great luck with Bell Tech Nitro Chargers. Everyone I talk to say's they suck, but they have worked for me.

KYB has a new series out that Cutten Customs swears by. They put the on my Harley truck, and I can't complain so far. Let me know what you want me to get a price on them....

So far, the only ones that I've been able to get dimensions on are the Doetsch Techs so I'll prob give them a try. I might make some shock relocators as well.

Had toxic shocks for about a month or two before I couldnt stand them anymore. Switched to doetsch techs and havent looked back

Just a little FYI, but on my oddball 78 with a 5/6 drop, I didnt put any new drop shocks on. I just kept the stock ones on there. That setup had worked better then my 79 with doetsch techs or toxics. Or course this is the same truck that runs 275/60/15's up front without any problems either

Well there's no possible way to run the stockers since the fronts only have 1.5" of travel before bottoming out & the rears only have 1" of travel before they do.

Interestingly enough, if I take the rear shock extensions off, I could use the fronts on the back. I wouldn't have to worry about them bottoming out . . .... just over extending.
