Writing a new book about Squarebody C10 series
Its amazing how much detailed information is on here about '73-87 C10 pickups. I'm sure glad I know about this board because without it I wouldn't be able to do nearly as good a job on the new Squarebody book I'm getting ready to start writing.
It's intended to be a complete guide with a lot more intense look than I'm able write about in Custom Classic Trucks, and Classic Trucks. if anyone has specific areas they'd like to see covered in the book please let me know. In the next couple of weeks I'll be drafting the outline. Thanks you guys, John G. |

Re: Writing a new book about Squarebody C10 series
I would totally love a K series truck book. Specially since the K10 I received with no history on it and have been trying to learn all I can about it just by looking and watching others that are close to the same year. I could use a nice reference book that says, "this is how it rolled out of factory and this is what you could do with it."

Re: Writing a new book about Squarebody C10 series
Hey you guys thanks an awful lot for your input! I'd like to keep on answering each person individually, but I'm such a slow writer that it's not funny... How I ever ended up as a magazine editor 5 times is beyond me.
The working title for the book is How To Restore Your Chevy C10 1973-1987 I'm as much if not more a GMC man than anything, so there will be as much info included on '73-87 Jimmys as I can dig up. Thanks to help from you guys I'm starting to dial in the direction for this thing. I'll update tomorrow, thanks! John |

Doesn't matter what it will cover, I'll buy it.
What categories are you thinking? Will it be more of a how-to guide or something that details the changes over the years to the trucks?

Re: Writing a new book about Squarebody C10 series
Maybe you can explain how during the worst era for cars (73-87)...The coolest trucks were born.

I totally agree, I love finding out about all those things. Hopefully as a group we can dig it all up and get it in there.

As heavy a focus on the changes through the years, and a list of available options as possible. I really want to end up with a comprehensive a chart we can all refer to. |

Very cool, I'm in. I really appreciate your effort to document this hobby of ours. I would definitely make sure you get in touch with Keith Seymour.

Re: Writing a new book about Squarebody C10 series
Why would you limit it to a C10?

Re: Writing a new book about Squarebody C10 series
I think it would be cool if you covered the C/K 10/30 and the C60's and other big trucks
