Re: lmc truck lsx mount adapters and headers

I saw that.... I guess that'll make it easy for some guys. But, with a little research someone could probably do it a little cheaper.

Re: lmc truck lsx mount adapters and headers

You can get those plates for $40 on ebay with the hardware.
I'm not sure on the headers but I'm sure they are just repackaging someone else's product.

Re: lmc truck lsx mount adapters and headers

Those are headman headers....I picked up Hooker streetrod shorties , for $225 (carshop inc,Moline il). The plates, also from the moline shop....the long set , for setback(have to check, but I think 50 bucks). The eng lift plate also came from the same spot.....I like to work with my local speed shop, They always have my back crazyL

Cool....but I'm pretty sure those block huggers don't fit a ton of these applications.....and they DONT SELL THE FREAKING FLANGES SHOWN SEPERATE....
I already have some...but someone needs to mass produce the flanges in mild steel for a good price.

The gen I, dont fit the bock huggers, as they dump midway on the block....on the gen 3, they dump under the 3rd port Set the engine back a tad, and watch what works crazyl

Re: lmc truck lsx mount adapters and headers

You want header flanges for an LS motor?
There's a local guy here that makes them and sells them on Ebay for dirt cheap IMO.

Re: lmc truck lsx mount adapters and headers

Not the actual header side flanges (found those laser cut on ebay as well ), but the b-pipe flanges/cat pipe flanges. All I could find was the ls1 style, which arent' the same, and mostly in stainless (which I suck at welding). I ended up laser cutting some, but I'm surprised they werent more available.

IMO its really only a downpipe on a turbo car, and some cars have a seperate cat-pipe, but with modern cars having multiple cats, the b-pipe is sometimes used to refer to the pipe in between the manifold and the cats, OR the flanged pipe between the manifold and something like a front merge pipe or y pipe.

Reading that I'm pretty sure i just made it more confusing.
Its After the engine, and Before the Cats

Hey longhorn, I didn't know that. I had to move my engine forward a tad to clear the firewall and make room for the 4l80e, and every set of huggers I could find dumped RIGHT into the perches.
