turns off??

My truck 82 c10,
Has new gas tank, fuel sending unit, fuel pump, fuel lines, new sparkplugs and wires, new vaccum lines, new carb,

Has an inline 6 250 4.1
Original transmission

Cranks up really nice no issues, when its on parked i can step on the gas pedal all the way down and it accelerates without any problem, but when its warmed up, i try to put it on drive, and i pushed on the gas a little and shuts off like if it didnt had any gas,
Sometimes it will move but still everytime it like drawns, but after it shutts off it cranks right up with no problems

Any ideas?

Re: turns off??

Sounds like the accelarator pump is shot. If it dies when you hit the gas it's from a rush of air and not enough fuel. If it chokes stumbles and dies it may be a leak or to much fuel. But it's hard to get to much fuel. It has to be dripping in ther to do that

Re: turns off??

Post a picture of your carburetor, we can help if we can see what we are trying to guess about. But from what you are describing your accelerator pump is bad.

Can you very slowly push on the go pedal and make the engine rev up?
