I've done a search on here, but didn't see what I was looking for. I know that the SPID label can be recreated (I have the spreadsheet for it), but was curious to know if anyone has tried to recreate the build sheet. Is this even possible? Has anyone been able to "order" the original? My truck didn't come with a build sheet and I'd like to create one for it. I've tried looking under/behind the seat, and behind the gas tank, but nothing is there. Any comments would be helpful.

Re: ReCreating the Build Sheet
There is a lot of vehicle specific information on a build sheet that cannot be extrated from thin air. I have seen blanks but without the correct information it would really be a work of fiction. Granted with research a lot could be filled in but you really need fragments and all the documentation you can find. Plus the fact that they were printed with chain style printers that is very hard to replicate.
It is a lot of work for what appears to be a modified truck. If were a very original/valuable project it might be worth the effort. On a final note it seems that Fremont trucks are the most likely to have a buildsheet. On the SPID recreation, it is more than just a program to getting it right.
