Interested in the 4 link. Is it the basic kit without the pan hard bar or does it include the bar. If it has the bar I will take it depending on shipping. If no bar let me know what the shipping is and I may take it anyway.

Re: '80 c10, LQ4 hotrod, rust fee PART OUT!
I'm not sure if it'll fit a Jimmy, it says 73-87 c10. Anyone know?
Here is a link to the KP bolt on 4-link. http://www.truckshop.com/product.php?productid=19587 Yes, what is in the pictures has been told this afternoon shortly after this post, besides the motor/trans/4-link. Thanks!

No panhard bar. It is all still in the plastic, never installed.
I suppose I could figure out how to crate and ship the motor and trans if needed.

Re: '80 c10, LQ4 hotrod, rust fee PART OUT!
Let me know when you get the shipping quote. I think if it will all fit in one box it shouldn't be too bad since I can ship to a business address . I would like to make sure that all of the hardware is secured well in the box . I have received some shipments with the hardware rattling around inside the box because it wasn't well secured .
I will probably take the 4 link but I always want to know the total first. Thanks, Frank Posted via Mobile Device

Re: '80 c10, LQ4 hotrod, rust fee PART OUT!
When I've shipped buick engines from Western Mass around the country in the past I did it as follows:
1) Start with a wood pallet. 2) Place a junk tire in the middle of the pallet like you have under the engine in the picture. 3) Center the engine on the pallet 4) Use a couple racheting tie down straps crisscrossed to tighten the engine to the pallet (such as the 2 pairs for $7 at Big Lots) 5) use some rope as secondary insurance 6) nail 2x4s cut to height on the corners 7) place any fragile accessories that required removal so the straps didn't break them in a box, nestled on the pallet near the engine 8) screw 5 sheets of plywood on, one on each of the 4 sides, one on the top. For shipping I occasionally used Yellow freight when they had a terminal in Westfield MA, but later started using Forward Air who was a depot to depot operation, offered good cheap rates if the buyer was near one of their receiving depots and could go pickup. Maybe that gives an idea on what might be involved to ship or a starting point how to go about it? |

Re: '80 c10, LQ4 hotrod, rust fee PART OUT!
I haven't decided on the 4 link yet. Don't hold my place in line if someone wants it. If I can decide on it I will contact you to see if you still have it.
