Should I

Addiction, I see a suburban & i feel i have to own it. Factory 4x4, non-op, running 350, frame is solid but the roof is toast (rust). The price is right asking $800 but i think i can nab it for less. Thinking hard about it. I do have another 64 body in pretty goo shape i can swap.

I hear that. If I had the room I'd have dozens of these things all over the place. I guess it may be a blessing I DONT have the room

still a shame to pass it up

Re: Should I

With a running engine and semi solid body ( dealing with a rusted roof now it does suck, but it's not the nightmare I thought). If you got the room yea man, go for it!!!

Re: Should I

There was 64-66 suburban body on the EUgene craigslist for 250.00 and it looked pretty clean. Would be a cool rig when it was put back together.

Re: Should I

I would get it. That is if my wife said I could. Cause you know, if she ain't happy, nobody's happy.

The price doesn't sound too out of line for 4WD. A little high for a rust bucket.

BTW, are the rear body panels the same shape as a fleetside bed panel? I was thinking I could use the fuel filler door from a trashed sub on my pickup.

Re: Should I

I was thinking about it. Buy it put all the parts on it and get it running and sell it. I bet you get $2500 after that or more.

That's funny because I don't even look at anything that's rusty. Doors, fenders whatever, if there's rust I pass, I can't imagine what you have to deal with back there.
