Opinions on what to pay for this Silverado project --> pics inside!
Hey guys, I have a friend who's grandmother owns this truck. He just sent me a few pics and I'm going to look at it this weekend. Looks pretty solid, been sitting for a couple years I think. Ran when it was parked, but transmission has a very bad leak. I think it's an 86? Or 87?
What would be a fair price to offer them? (Fair for the both of us) assuming it needs a lot of work, but is a good solid starting point. Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device |

In present condition around here if it ran it would be 1k to sell. Idk your regions prices on squares but I would offer $900. $1000 if it came with the furniture
87 was the first year for tbi injection. If it has a carb then it's likely an 86 Posted via Mobile Device

looks very solid.. 1000 sounds cheap but up here in canada we pay huge for solid because there's almost none left. depending on what parts you get id say very friendly price would be $1500

Given how rust free it looks from those pics, to me in the Georgia market its about a $1500 truck as it sits, maybe $2k if it was running and moved under its own power.
Now where I used to work up in new england, thats probably about a $3000 truck due to their rust issues if the underside is as spotless as the outside. Interior pics and mildew/mold issues from humidity might get me to revise both those estimates slightly downwards.... |

Thanks guys! Keep the opinions coming. So far I'm thinking $1,500.00 is the general middle price.

It would be worth a little more to me if it is an 87' because of the fuel injection.

Well....went to look at the truck this weekend and was disappointed. It has rust in floor pans, rockers, cab corners, inside door jambs, at firewall seems, and at bottom of bed. Don't think I want to get into a project with this much rust.
On the positive side, found a 77 Bonanza. All original including paint. bought it today! RUST FREE. Bed looks like it was never used. Very cool truck and I love the color and trim on it. Here a couple pics... Wheels must go, and trim is loose and need to be secured. Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device |
