Re: lowest i can go with 295/50's ?
I asked the same thing here a while back. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=564071
I am doing a 4-6 drop and currently run 15x10" rims, so I have to get a different set of rims now. 2-4 was pretty much what I was told as well if you are running the same setup as I am now (before drop). I am still going to run the 295/50's in back but will have to get a rim that has more backspacing. Maybe a 5-5 1/2" BS. My current rims have a 4"bs front and rear.

Re: lowest i can go with 295/50's ?
Insid, I couldn't find them anymore either. The last time I'd bought them it was a stupid ~$300 each. Went down to 265s.

Re: lowest i can go with 295/50's ?
It all hinges off of the backspacing on the rims. I used to run 295/50/15 on the back and a 245/60/15 on the front of my 84 SWB. I now have 17" rims with 275/50/15 tires on the back and 255/50/17 tires on the front. I have a set of 9.5" rims on the back to get the offset that I wanted and the fronts are 8.5" rims to keep the clearance on the front fender. However, there is still plenty of room on my truck. I have a 3.5" drop on the front and a 4.5" drop on the rear and could go more, but would have to 'C' notch the rear frame.

Re: lowest i can go with 295/50's ?
heres what it looks like i dont have the backspacing needed to go as low as i want and i just want to eliminate the wheel well space if i could id like to put spacers on as well to get a wider stance with the tires get them to stick out at least 2 inches the front already sticks out about 1/2 inch but the rear doesnt i would like to aquire spacers to even both the front and back to stick out 2 inches from the fender |

Re: lowest i can go with 295/50's ?
This is a truck with a 3" drop in the front with DJM tubular lower A arms and a Belltech 4" drop in the rear. Then we had the springs rearched another 3/4" so that it set the way we wanted it. Front tires originally were 245/60/15 and 295/50/15. Later it went to a 17" rim set up. The red truck in front of the white one has been lowered 3" in the front and 4" in the rear with Bell Tech components, running the same tires combo, as is the black truck.

Look at the Mastercraft tire line. They are made by Cooper Tire and they wear pretty good.

A tread wear that high I would expect grip would come in wishes and luck. Looks like thier biggest 16 is 235 wide.

Re: lowest i can go with 295/50's ?
Pepboys has the Futura SS 295/50r15 for $126 each. You can go as low as you want, lay it on the ground as long as your wheel offset is correct.

Re: lowest i can go with 295/50's ?
No actually they are all 15X8 rims. The black truck has a 3.25 backspacing on them and the white truck and the red truck have a 4" backspacing on them.
