Con....I have 7 miles of gravel roads before I see any sort of pavement. Would never work for me,besides I like to have to jump,crawl up into my truck!!

Cute, but not the same. If you have a vehicle that lays frame be prepared for the very real headache of trying to figure out how to raise it up/or drive it home in the event of a system failure. Which should almost never happen on a stock vehicle. Fab bump stops

Cute? Not sure. Accurate? Yep.

Any machine can leave you stranded which is what you commented on. I wouldn't build anything to lay frame; even a weekend warrior.

Not accurate, your suspension should never leave you stuck. And no one asked if you would "slam" a vehicle. Just look at the picture from the original post. It lays frame so like I said cute.

Pro's really depend on who you are, and what you like to do. But for me better handling, easier to work on the engine, and I just prefer it myself for no reason I really can tell you.

Cons can be pretty wide to none depending how you defined the term slamming your truck. For the sake of argument with a frame height of 5" there are almost no cons that would not be there in a normal car. If you go down to 4" you begin to run into troubles with speed bumps, dips, and entering steepish driveways. 3 or less inches, and your screwed 6 ways to Sunday. Plus twice on Sunday. Its a enthusiast setting, and depending on how much you drive it can get old really quick.

Plus there is what truck you have. The above pretty much is true for rcsb's, and rclb's. Though rcsb will be alittle easier, but not enough to write home. Now if you go big like in your pic a cclb. Which I never owned yet, but only have driven a slightly lowered one. Problems where it is practically un-driveable as far as entering parking lots can come in as early as a 5" frame height.

In the end it is your vehicle, and if your can tolerate it. Yes you too can ride that low.

Cons - It takes way more work to get them on the ground!

Trust me I have built them both ways and a jacked up 4x4 on 40's is so much easier.

PRO: Lower Roll center and handling better. If done correctly better steering. CONN: Dirt roads and speed bumps. Having to change driving habits when turning into parking lots that are elevated.

pros: it's because we like it.. your truck you decide what you like. cons: they sometimes drag the ground and cost $ to do.. Lifted/lowered it's all good. good luck either way.

I have had several extremely low vehicles both static and bagged. I do it because I like it but there are always some headaches that go along with it, especially if youre static. I had a Subaru WRX with 1.5" clearance from the from bumper. It got to be so annoying to drive that I almost never drove it. Like the earlier post said stick with at least a 5" ride height and you should be good.

im raising mine back up because i got tired of it, not being able to get under the truck, tires rubbing the wheel wells, not being able to drive on work sites for fear of getting hung up etc. i had a vw karmann ghia once and i hammered it, well right before i sold it i raised it back up some, i wish i wouldnt have lowered it, driving it beat the living hell out of that car!

Lowering trucks is one of those things...if you have to ask...well there is no answer! It's all about the looks, and if you're really into it like most of us the ride can be an added benefit. I do get tired of the "you ruined it" comments but they're usually not mean spirited, just tells me they aren't hot rodders or truck guys.

You missed my point. I used the term "hot rodder" to describe any enthusiast, car guys, whatever. The point is if they are ragging on another vehicle simply because it's not their particular taste, then they probably aren't an enthusiast. I like trucks, particularly lowered but I also like lifted trucks and I can appreciate anybody else's ride for what we have in common. Example; I saw a Honda Civic this morning it was rediculously low, purple and all kinds of different. It also looked really funny plowing through the snow. But I thought to myself, there goes a dedicated car guy and we have more in common than somebody who collects stamps for a hobby. Get it?

I'm sorry I veered off topic. Personally, I like my daily drivers static dropped low enough to look good and not too low that I can't get into my driveway or make a run to the dump...which is exactly why people use air bags, best of both.

i like most anything people do to trucks just to varying degrees, i thought i might enjoy having a lowered truck so i bought one, turns out it didnt suit my tastes so im raising it back up, to each thier own i guess

Pro's- If done correctly it will improve your ride and vastly better SPG (smiles per gallon).
Con's- Listening to uniformed people say how poorly it rides, how badly it beats the truck up, and it is no longer functional as a truck......BS
