Re: just found a $300 1963
Wow! What a deal! yes, please post pictures. If it is a rust free truck, i'm going to die of jealousy, lol! I would love to find a deal like this, not like I have to room or time, but still... Any thoughts on keeping it? I would buy my partner out for $150 and restore it if its in good shape!

Re: just found a $300 1963
It is in pretty decent shape but is not rust free there's been some cab repair already started and sure there's some bondo in the bed sides and few dents here and there, no plans on keeping it no room and to many projects, and bought solely to part out, i sell on ebay and craigslist as a part of my income...i part out 50's cars also when i come across them, figure i cant save them all nor do i have the cash to restore the cars i find, and by parting them out the still live on helping build other vehicals..

Re: just found a $300 1963
Save it from the scrap yard. Even parting it out gives life to other trucks. Like being an organ donor.

I love those "Oh @#$^%! I'm in way over my head" sales! Never understood why first timers disassemble every nut and bolt with no clue how it goes together or works.
Anyway- very nice score! |

Re: just found a $300 1963
well talked to the guy and he said he found the back glass ,and a few other parts ,and asked him to look for the trim that goes in the back of the cab inbetween the cab sails, pretty sure its the rare style cab sails please look at the photos below and let me know if its what i think it is?? but heres the pictures of today:
we got the cab and bed on the frame: help from some friends and we were ready to pull it onto the trailer: loaded the extra parts in my truck: and we were off,and got to haul off a 3 phase stick welder also for free, condition unknown: backing her in: gas tank( did measure yet does it look like the x-large tanks): solid hood and inner fenders, core support: good glass and the carpet: super solid fenders!!!!!!!!!!!! STAND BY FOR MORE PICTURES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: just found a $300 1963
MORE PARTS!!
Now i set these up to my cab because i like the older style sails , and noticed the screw holes were in a different opt then mine: closer look and i noticed the indent on both of them that looks like it has a spot for another piece of chrome to lay over??? is the rare custom cab sails?? stand by for more pictures!!!!!!!!!!

Re: just found a $300 1963
Those are the correct sails for the custom back trim, but was factory on the 60. I dont see the mounting holes for the back cab trim, there would be 7 holes across the back of the cab to hold the trim. Looks like he found a set of sails from a 60 and installed them on the 63. Nice score. Too bad he didn't find the center trim piece. Took me two years to make a complete set for my 63.
