Hello! first timer to the forum. Just wanted to say hi to all and was curious what you all thought of my trade.

i started at a 83 bronco for 1100
traded that for a 91 civic hb
traded that for a 86 samurai
now i am at this...
1982 chevy c30, 77k origional miles. 6.2l witha 400 trans. 4.11 gears. got some issues that i am trying to get help with but other than that it runs great! she needs paint and a good cleaning but its expected for an all origional 82!

Not bad if you can get it running cheap. The Silverado was I think just about top of the line back then, and grab some pw/pdl then you'll have a awesome truck.

I would install a 9.5 14 bolt with lower numerically gears, and a turbo for a excellent DD. Toss in a 4L80, and you'll get insane mileage.

i got a banks turbo kit for it, but have other problems to worry about right now. i get about 25mpg in it now. as far as the gearing, im not too worried about it. does 75 on the highway no problem and i dont tow stuff, just like to cruise.

Thanks, im beginning to think that im in far over my head and want to call it quits after looking at the wiring!

Dont give up! The wiring is EASY! what is wrong with it? Post some pics of what you are trying to work on. I would trade you in a heartbeat my '89 Suburban for that truck.....only you are 4.5 hrs away!

I agree don't give use forum or just get a new wiring kit(several aftermark ones). looks like you need a wheel also. welcome!

haha the wheel is put on now! will the new wiring kit include all wires the truck could possibly need?

Yeah the painless harneses are nice, expensive tho, you could even try a junk yard and pull the wiring off a similar truck. Just my 0.2
