Engine wont Start
Tried to start my 65 this weekend, and it did not. It spins over fine, we have spark, we shot it with ether and poured gas while spinning over and that didnt work either. It will pop and blow white smoke rings out of the exhaust. The engine is a 292 with the original 1-barrel that we rebuilt, new plugs, good points and condenser, and the new battery. Any feedback will be appreciated.

Re: Engine wont Start
My buddy called me with this same question one day .. i told him buy a new set of spark plugs , and let the engine air out for a day .. you may have spark out side of the combustion chamber , but if the plugs have gotten good and wet ,they wont fire across the gap when the cylinder is under compression... The other thing is to bring up # 1 on compression and check the distributor , it could be very retarded.... And check the firing order....
