Largest 4x2 lift for a Saburban ?

Ok,

Well after running some numbers going from 4x2 to 4x4 is WAYYY out of the bugget and WAYY out of my pricerange for now. But instead I'm gonna do "some" interior re-triming,engine,and tranny mods instead. But what I wanna know is what is the largest lift kit for a 87' Saburban 4x2,because I wanna run som large yet wide tires...like 36 or 38x18.5 or something like that.......can anyone help me out. I know you can this question is less complicated.

if such a lift exists, you could probably buy a cheap 4x4 burb for what it'd cost to get the lift, tires, and wheels on that one.

Cause it looks cool....well maybe not 38...but definitely 36's
I just wont them more wide then tall..but not frog hoppers

yea but man on a four wheel drive you could go down and get them springs arched for a lot cheaper and if you wanted to get a real kit then i think sometimes 4x4 kits are cheaper than 2x4 kits. plus the 4x4 kit would be a lit simplers to put on than having to put lift spindles and all that crap. plus that would be one bad suburban being 4 wheel drive with some big 38s or 40s. just my thoughts.

lifting a 4x4 is much cheaper than lifting a 2wd, and it actually serves a purpose. a taller truck provides more clearance for big tires, which in turn provides more ground clearance. more ground clearance means you can go over bigger sh!t! and the extra drive wheels are nice too.

you can buy a 12" suspension lift kit for around $700 some places. where a set of lift spindles, which wont give you nearly half of that lift, are half of the price of the 12" lift kit.

12" lift for a 4x2 or 4x4...I imagine you are talking about a 4x4. But anywho one of the reason's I wanna raise it is so I want look so pathetically small sitting next to a H2 or a Excusion when I'm at a light...I hate being the small guy. And I'm nearly 6 Ft. tall so you can see why it bugs me so much.

The biggest suspension lift for a 2wd is arround 3.5-4 inches. Fabtec seems to be the only one with a kit, but it runs arround 800+ I think.

Here's what the Fabtec kit looks like. It has 33" tires. You could always get some 3" lift coils from Aim, also a ball joint spacer for the down travel, would be close to the Fabtec, put blocks/ add a leaf in the rear, and a 3" body lift, that should give you room for 35's.

Yeah but at the rate this trhead is going I might be better off jsut adding a body lift and doing HEAVY motor mods with some tranny. Or hell while I'm at it just put 15" bags on it for when it rains and when it's not raining well .....

If you really want to lift it,
1.lift coils $50-$70
2.ball joint spacer $20-$30
3.lift/lowering block kit $30
4.boddy lift kit $65
About 6" of lift, easy 33" tire fitment for $200 at least, but would probly cost more like $400 but that is guessing..

Now if you want to bag the burb.
1. bags 4@$75 Each
2. brackets around $150
3. valves 4@$40 each
4. air lines and fittings $80 or so
5. switches 2@$10 each
if you want it real low
6. Drop spindles $165
7. flip kit and notch $140
Would be able to go from the ground, back to stock hight for around $800 maybe.
But again jut guessing on prices..

Do what you like, not what others say you should....

That's the whole thing I can go either way...I really don't want to lift it for nothing exspecially sense you know I could lower it with somewhat less work and make it really nice and probably pull two if not three times as many ladies....but that's not my concern...I lie to standout..I also don't like the rain. So if I could bag and body drop the sucker do some paint and shave out all the exter...that would be pretty awsome...then tame the ever so wild inter..I think I would have a nice ride saying if I did most of the work myself and well paid some one for the notchin cause well I don't know how to weld..I think I would have a nice not so mini minitruck for around what 1500-2k ? Not including tires and rims and all the stuff that comes afterwards...what do you think ?
