Sorry to intrude on a Chevy/GMC truck forum with an unrelated vehicle question, but I'd appreciate the first hand knowledge that probably only you possess.
According to
Steele the cross-section of a 1947-1953 GMC/Chevy truck is what I need to a
Subraru Micro-van
The van also has a 5/8" chrome insert (the "deluxe" Chevy/GMC trim?).
The windshield of the van is ~123" compared with 126" for your vehicles.
Does the trim fit entirely within the rubber, similar to the later ('62) trucks? Or does it fit partly into the rubber and then against the glass? Were all the windshields split, or was there a one-piece version?
Apologies again for the intrusion but any help, ideas, etc. much appreciated.
