A little bondo, some touch up paint here and there and she'll look good as new.

Re: i have one now....
Good luck with that one. Take some more pics when you get it out. I don't think that is a 66 emblem, doesn't look like mine anyhow. And I thought 65's were on the cowl/hood extension panel.

Re: i have one now....
64 - 66's are a little tough to tell apart. From the picture you posted, the fender emblem is from a 64. That does not mean that the fender was not changed as they interchange all the way back to 1960.
There are others that know more than I do about this but other than some trim, it is hard to say. What does the VIN say it is? |

Re: i have one now....
The photo shows a 1964 fender emblem on the left and a 1966 on the right. 1965 emblems were on the fender extension and not the fender.

Re: i have one now....
so with the Canadian trucks, is the VIN somewhere different than the US trucks? the US trucks have them on the DS door jam in the middle up top.

Re: i have one now....
have chainsaw will travel... I would say that is a strip and scrap ,if the rust goes above the bottom door hinge then that is the point I say it is too much work to fix it ... But after you get 2 or 3 freebies and sell parts off them you may have enough money to buy a runner!!

Re: i have one now....
If you`ve got your chainsaw out head over to Sudbury on the 69 where it intersects the 17 look on the tree`d stone mound beside the little house on the south western side of the road. 64-66 Suburban in the trees. I think every piece of glass has been broken and all the panels are dented and the roof was a disco floor during some bush party.

Re: i have one now....
Some Turtle wax and you're all set. Looks like a hoot.
6 x 5 1/2 with 3-4" backspace on the rims. Can't be newer ones because backspace on later models would cause it to rub on everything.
