Anyone modified a stock 2010 camaro fuel pump?
Hey guys,
So I'm on my last part of the parts accrual. The tank. I'm going to have Boyd's tanks build me a tank, but I want to use the 2010 camaro fuel pump (single line, internally regulated) for ease of installation and replacement. So I can get a relatively new fuel pump with sender (will work with my can bus gauges perfectly) for a good price. Normal the camaro fuel pump regulator is pulse width modulated (PWM) which can pose a problem. However retrofuel sells a modification to the fuel pump that internally regulates it at the appropriate pressure for the l92. However I need to get this done quickly and he is sometimes a little slow responding. He doesn't really like to sell the mod seperate (although he lists it as being able to be sold seperate). I don't want to buy his fuel pump because it doesn't come with the fuel level sender and is alot more than I can get a barely used one for with sender. So, Has anyone modified one of these themselves or know where to get instructions to do so? Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Like I said, I wouldn't mind buying the modification from him, but he doesn't seem to want to sell it seperately and I need to get this done quickly. Thanks all! Shawn Posted via Mobile Device

I did a little more digging on the parts that I posted above and it looks like the $15 adapter allows you to replace the 88 psi regulator that comes in the 2010 Camaro pump with the 58 psi unit from a gen IV Camaro. So the hookup seems pretty straightforward in that you just pull out one regulator and plug in another.

Re: Anyone modified a stock 2010 camaro fuel pump?
Thanks for the info, I was trying to figure that out off of their websight. I wonder if its the same company as retrofuel. They seem to carry the same stuff and neither one has a phone number for contact, only email.
On a side note, maybe someone can explain this to me a little, I'm not sure I understand everything. I understand a PWM fuel pump basically gets pulses at varying widths (on/off) to control desired pressure for different throttle/fuel pressure needs. I understand that it gives a full pressure of 88 psi (is that arcs full constant 12v?) So will the ls1 fuel pressure regulator directly replace the other one, with the 15.00 part?
