Re: i6 rad shrouds

It was a small metal shroud that really just covered the side of the radiator from the radiator support. Ill see if I have a picture of the one I had on my 63. I took it off when I put in the champion radiator. Not sure about other years, and they dont look anything like the v8 shrouds.

Re: i6 rad shrouds

There was a plastic one available from 1963-1966 according the the Chevrolet parts book. I have one on my 66 K20 shown partially below, only had a side view to show you right now.

Re: i6 rad shrouds

The parts listing for the square L6 states Heavy Duty Rad with C.A.C which is the abbreviation for Car Air Conditioning. I wonder if the same shroud was used on the passenger car line?

Not exactly Aero, there's a comma in between "heavy duty rad" and CAC. Your right on the CAC definition but it also states and means "4 season Air Conditioning". My 66 K20 has the "square" plastic shroud from the factory, No AC but heavy duty cooling on the spids sheet.

And yet the Air Conditioning Installation Instructions have no mention for this shroud in 63.
