Switching to gauge cluster
I am switching out my gauge cluster from the warning light cluster to the actual gauges. I have a wiring harness on order. Looking to find the correct oil and temp sending units. Can I pull from a newer 350 I have? Would they still read correct?

Your oil pressure uses a presure switch, they are the same I believe but will see what the others say, you will need the correct temp sender, you can get them thru Truck and Car Shop...page 93 in the online catalog.

uhmmm....the oil gauge is mechanical.it takes a line from the engine to the oil gauge.
the temp senssor can be had at a napa or autozone. hope this helps

I had no luck getting my temp gauge to read accurately with parts house sending units. Based on a tip I got on the Team Chevelle website, I got sending units from these guys..
http://www.lectriclimited.com/ and the factory temp gauges now work perfectly in both my 69 Chevelle and my 64 C10. |

Make sure not to use teflon tape on the temp sending unit. I got mine from classic parts 3 years ago...no issues.
