Dome light mounting

Probably a dumb question, but...

What holds the dome light bezel to the cab? Looks like there should be some pins or bolts that the bezel rotates over and snaps into position. My cab only has holes where these pins should be protruding. Am I missing something? Tired of my dome light hanging loose. Thanks.

Re: Dome light mounting

It should just snap in. Maybe your palstic clips are broken?

Re: Dome light mounting

I just put a new one in this weekend. It snaps into place the cab has 2 holes that it snaps into...there is No screws....no clips. The housing of the light has 2 plastic clips that snap into place (kind of like a wire loop holder on a core support)

Re: Dome light mounting

Thanks for the heads up, Woogeroo. I looked there but didn't find what I needed. I'd still like to see how that bezel is supposed to snap into the cab wall. I can't see what's missing from mine. It's a '66, BTW.

Re: Dome light mounting

I've used 3M emblem attachment tape to attach more than a few once the little retention nubs are gone.
