new to site and new to me 76 c20

hey all,

my name Is Richard, ive been a browser in this site for a while and well I just bought a chevy so I thought id post it.

its s 1976 chevy c20
3/4 ton camper special
78k original miles with one owner
454 cu. in. with turbo 400 transmission
auto, air, ps, and after market cruise installed
firestone ride-rite air helper springs
has the dual tanks
the tire size in the front is lt245/75r16 and lt285/75r16....not really sure what that means.

the guy I bought it from had a camper on it so the bed it scratched but its in good shape, little surface rust here and there, but the hood is the only thing that has bad rust, first thing first is getting new tires since these are expired and cracking, then who knows whats next.

well anyway that's my new truck, below are some photos of her.

oh yea quick question, ive never owned a chevy just "other" trucks, but I couldn't find the oil dip stick to save my life, only found the tranny one, anyone know if its just in a hard to spot place? also any info on these trucks would be great!

Welcome Richard, that's an interesting color combo...do you have a picture of the Spid that lists the options. May be in your glove box or under the hood, driver side fender

Here is a Photo of my Trucks Oil dipstick location

well first off I want to get tires, then maybe a raido since I only have am in there, after that id really like to work in the engine, headers, carb, intake manafoild and do something to get her to sound a little meaner, slap some paint on her, and she will be good to go. ive never had a truck this high off the ground before, but Im starting to like it so I think she will stay this high
