Rear Seat Belt Removal

I picked up a spare seat on the cheap, mainly for the seat belts and ash trays. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how the belts on the sides come out?
Not sure what this pattern or year of design this seat is but the seat would be pretty nice with some new inserts, so I didn't really want to cut it to get to them!
Pictures to come...

Re: Rear Seat Belt Removal

There isnt enough play to move the vinyl to get at the bolt? I can check some of mine if needed but thats what I would guess. Ive never had to remove them. Ive got 4 or 5 I can look at to see if there are any differences.

Re: Rear Seat Belt Removal

I might be able to. I will give it a try, what I was worried about was if there would be room once the bolt starts to move back out of the nut. The seat is out of a burb actually.

Re: Rear Seat Belt Removal

I was thinking about that when I was posting the response. Have you really looked underneath, maybe there is a nut to remove instead of a fixed one??

Re: Rear Seat Belt Removal

Nearly positive it's fixed, but I will check after work. Odd that these seat belts are tucked like that. I've seen them like that before but on my blazer and others I've seen them and they just bolt to the floor or the bracket stand of the seat.

Re: Rear Seat Belt Removal

Well the nut was welded on and much too tight to get to it. So i un-hog ringed that corner and got to it. Then i ringed it back!
