Tranny and transfer case.
Ok guys and gals. I bought this truck a couple weeks ago and still trying to figure things out. Hoping you can help. I know this is a 4L60E tranny and 205 transfer case but Im hoping you can help me with what kind of adapter is between the two and how I can get a vss in there? Im guessing im gonna have to buy the adaptor from AA that has the vss hole in it but what adaptor do i buy? The 4 bolt holes in the back of the tranny instead of 6 baffles me. Preciate your help!!

Re: Tranny and transfer case.
I just found this for a 700r4 and it looks like the same exact adaptor. If this is the case then has anyone installed a vss inside one of these adaptors or the 4l60 tailhousing?

Re: Tranny and transfer case.
You can put a 241 one it with vss in it. You can put a 4x4 output shaft into a 2wd trans but I don't know if the 4x4 shaft has provisions for the vss.

Re: Tranny and transfer case.
Me neither. been racking my brain and spending alot of time internet searching and finally found it. Think I may end up buying another 4l60 from a 99-up after i get it all together and drivable. Go ahead and have it built with the 700r4 shaft and adaptor plate in case this one goes south on me. Now onto Wiring!! LOL
