do you have online video of your projects?
Howdy folks.
Well, if so... let us know... so we can share the information with your fellow truck forum members! If it is relevant to our trucks, I will add it to the 60-66 FAQ Index thread, in Section 3, "Relevant & Related to our trucks, Videos". Example of what we are looking for: Our fellow 60-66 forum member: boat He has some excellent videos showing welding and repair for doors, patch panels and more on his 1963 Chevy truck!(link to his build thread here on the forum).-------- Thanks. Tell your fellow forum friends... Add links to your channels and a title list of your relevant truck videos... if you decide to participate. Simply links and a text are fine... I'm not going to mess with tweaking the embedding setup. -W NOTE: the videos can be posted on any online viewing/sharing service site(youtube, vimeo, etc..) as long as they are accessible by anyone... with the video is relevant to driving, fixing, using or working on our style of 60-66 Chevy/GMC trucks. Re: do you have online video of your projects?
I’ve put up 4 so far, 3 on the old engine and 1 one the new. I don’t really want to do anything impressive with the new engine until it has at least 1,000 miles on it, which may take a while. Being retired I’m lucky to run up 3,000 combined miles annually on both of our vehicles.
First video when I was having fuel issues. The carburetor literally ran out of gas as I was shifting into 3rd gear: 2nd video showing how easy it started with the electric booster pump: 3rd video after sorting out the fuel problems, just showing off: Most recent – sharing the idle quality and how much louder the gear drive is in the new engine. I don't know why this one won't show the picture, only the link. I've copied and pasted it just like the others: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_xSu...ature=youtu.be

I'm stuck on you saying since your " retired " you don't get to drive it much? Lol I hope you were being sarcastic, drive that baby. jk. Nice truck.

Re: do you have online video of your projects?
The road isnt that smooth, but when I am driving I dont notice the bumps too bad. When I keep the speed down its not as rough. Might be the 31×10.5 BF Goodrich AT tires
Nothing smooth about them. Heres a little burnout too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tiUi...e_gdata_player Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: do you have online video of your projects?
Oh yeah, I habs a question.
What cameras are you folks using? I've been pondering getting a camera for this sort of thing but I'm a total rookie when it comes to digital video cameras. Share with the class please. Thanks. ... and keep posting links, just online video involving 60-66 trucks, fun or work. -W |

Re: do you have online video of your projects?
I condensed this information out of my build thread:
After days of analysis, I finally decided on an inexpensive dash camera for the truck. What convinced me was the following excellent YouTube video comparison: Earlier I had almost decided on the GoPro3, even thought the cost is between $200 & $500 depending on options. And even though it’s widely recognized as the standard in motorsports video, there are almost as many technical problems/complaints as praises with the current model. Many experts are recommending the earlier GoPro2 model until the bugs are sorted out. Then I started looking at how often I’d really use it versus the investment, and decided a cheap one will do just fine for now. My inexpensive dash cams from China showed up today. They look like this: I unpackaged one and set to figuring it out. Once I knew what I needed I ran to the store and picked up a class 10, 32GB SD card for each. One is going in my truck and the other is going in our daily driver. The instructions are useless, written in converted English, Russian, and Chinese, but I had the menus figured out within a few minutes. I adjusted all the features on the camera and even managed to upload a couple of test video files to the computer. I decided to mount it on the back window to provide a wider viewing angle. This should also keep direct sun glare off the lens: I also slapped on a left over front fender Moon Equipped decal to minimize visibility from the outside: A power outlet was added behind the driver seat and the wiring was plugged in and easily concealed behind the rear upholstery panel.
