Re: power steering line
I was able to use the stock lines with the stock pump, but my truck is an 81. I think 72 and older you can swap out a fitting on the back of the power steering pump and use your stock lines also.

Re: power steering line
For those of you that used the stock lines, did you use big block or small block power steering lines. I tried to reuse my big Block power steering line, but no amount of adjusting will get it off the exhaust manifold Heat shield.

Re: power steering line
Mine had a big block in it. I had to carefully straighten the line tha run it under the frame in front of the cross member. Kind of a pita but it should work

Small block PS hoses work better.

Re: power steering line
Wait wait!! I can answer that question!! Just unscrew the fitting off of the power steering boxes and swap them. That's what I did. Then you can use the stock power steering hose for the '79.

Re: power steering line
I used these parts to build my own...
Updated Quantities and Part Numbers: 2 ea -6 to 90° hose ends (RUS-620421) 3 ft Russell power flex hose (RUS-632600) 1 ea -6 90° swivel hose end (SUM-220687B) 3 ft Summit -6 braided hose (SUM-230603) 1ea EAR-991947ERL -6 TO 5/8-18 (box) 1ea EAR-991950ERL -6 TO 11/16-18 (box) 1ea EAR-991955ERL -6 TO 16MM X1.5 (pump) Note: I didn't use the full 3 feet of either hose, cut and fit them how you like.

Re: power steering line
If you go to Napa and get fitting 1446 and screw that into the back of the pump you can use the stock line. I paid $10 for the fitting.
