What are these?
What are these and why are they there?
The cables wraped around the frame and bolted to the engine. ------------------ 69 CST/10 350/400TH lwb fleet all original,1 owner 79 K/20 4x4 built & lifted Sheridan,IN [This message has been edited by jeff69cst/10 (edited March 27, 2002).] [This message has been edited by jeff69cst/10 (edited March 27, 2002).] [This message has been edited by jeff69cst/10 (edited March 27, 2002).]

Any chance of getting those pics any bigger?
Are they ground straps? you should have on on both sides, bolted to the valve cover, and to the firewall. ------------------ '69 G.M.C. 350/350. If your motor mounts break those cables will keep everything somewhat intact. If that's possible.

I not sure of the year but there was a recall for these year of pickups for bad motor mount rubbers breaking and the trottle sticking,so this was chevys fix, this is what i've heard but not gospel as i was just being thought of or in the oven. lol
i parted out a 69 half ton that had those on them, and asked a few old timers whatv they were for. ------------------ project 70 chev swb 396bb th-400 373limited slip

That is 100% correct. Kinda suprised you have them on both sides, most only got the drivers side. I have the recall papers for this. I posted it once a long time ago. It is dated May '72.
