Utility to sport bucket swap - what's entailed?

I'm considering a local 70 Blazer that's pretty much in decent original condition. It's a base model with utility buckets. What's it take to swap the utility buckets for a set of sport bucket? Do the buckets use the same brackets, same floor pan holes? Thanks!

I believe the utility buckets use a different set of holes (at least for the two rear legs on each seat). Therefore, a different seat mounting bracket as well. But don't quote me on this.

Thanks for the help. I'd rather have a CST with sport buckets and factory AC but this Blazer is relatively clean and intact. It was purchased new by the guys father-in-law here in ABQ. I'm wrapping up my K20 build and looking at starting a Blazer project - not sure if I should hold out for another one though.

Not sure, but my 71 has a couple of different sets of holes in the floor. They appeared to be factory holes. I do have a pretty decent set of sport buckets in black that I removed. They are for sale with all brackets and hold down.

Hold that thought! I should have an idea if I'm going to get the Blazer in one week. If I do - I'd be interested in taking the buckets off your hands and have had sets shipped here for my trucks - shipping isn't bad. Thanks, Pete

X2, what cleszkie said. The holes for mounting the sport seats are around 12", where as utilities are around 15". Dont rule out the utilities until you sit in them, they dont call them 'fatboys' without reason. I had mine recovered with factory stuff, and i like them

LOL! Thanks and good to know. Maybe the floor pan holes are already in place regardless. Now that you mention it my nalgas did like the utility buckets in the 71 Blazer I had 15 years ago.

What's a reasonable price for a 70 non-CST, non-A/C, auto 4wd with a TH350 and a cheap paint job? It's had a rocker replaced with evidence of more small rust spots and a homemade fiberglass repair to the hatch at the latches undercarriage is good and drive train original - guy is asking 10k but I'm thinking closer to 4-5k at best. Pete
