LS swap question
For those of you who have done the LS motor swap, does anyone know if all the aftermarket LS into C10 parts (motor mounts, cross members, headers, etc.) will work on a C20? Ive got the motor already and Im trying to compile a list of parts to scrounge up before diving into this one. As an aside, my '72 C20 currently has the factory 402 in it.
Thanks |

Re: LS swap question
The simple answer is yes. Most things like swap mounts/plates, headers, and any wiring etc would be pretty much the same. I'm not sure about the xmember but I'd imagine that if the frame was the same, it could be suitable.
Correct me if I'm wrong but the c20's share all the body stuff and interior stuff, with the big differences being the suspension/brakes, wheels and engine/tranny combo options.

Re: LS swap question
Thanks, thats what I thought! Yes as far as I know you are correct, its the running gear that differentiates the two.

Re: LS swap question
I too am pretty sure the only difference is the front/rear suspension.

Re: LS swap question
The frame is a bit thicker too but that and the suspension is it.
