A/c cooling help !!!

I did a lq4 swap in a 86 k10 and used the Holley hi mount compressor bracket with a sanden sd7b10. It has a new dryer ,hoses and a orfice tube. I can only get 2 lbs of 134a in the system. The center vent temp only gets down to about 65 degrees. High side pressure is 250 and low side is 50 at idle. Anyone have any idea .

Drove it around when I got home and vent temp it 55 deg. At idle it goes up to around 66. I kinda feel like a bad compressor

What were the temps outside when you checked the pressures? Needs another 3/4 ish can and it should blow ice cold.

Did you pull a vacuum on the system before charging and for how long? Need to put the pump on and let it set for about an hour pulling the moisture out before trying to charge.

Sounds like you may need more air through the condenser. Try this trick. Bring your idle to ~1200 rpm, put a little water on the condenser. Your both of your pressures should drop. If your low side pressure drops below thirty psi and it begins to cycle, then your low on refrigerant and your fan is not drawing enough air through the condenser.

It's almost like I can't get the system to take on any more freon. I'm using a 30lb jug that has plenty in it.

I already tried the water trick. It has dual electric fans that I have wired to come on when the a/c comes on and the pull tons of air through the condenser. Mabee ill try water and fans.
