NOS bumper
I am going to look at a front bumper for my 67 that a guy claims is NOS. Is there a way to tell the difference between NOS and after market? Also what were if any the differences after 67'? Thanks guys in advance!

Re: NOS bumper
I'd imagine a gm sticker or marking in the steel maybe. 67/8 bumper should be smooth with no light cut outs

Re: NOS bumper
Yeah I knew about the lights, the price is right at 30 bucks with zero rust or dings, dents, etc.. It is painted also which is what I have been looking for. Just did not know if there were other subtle diffs.

Re: NOS bumper
A gmc bumper would be notched for the running lights in the grill. Other then that nothing I can think of

Re: NOS bumper
The only other sure fire way to tell is if you have a set of the gm small bumper guards. The gm guards do not fit the repop bumpers at the bottom, because the curve on the repops is wrong.

Re: NOS bumper
here's a pic of one I have. I don't think (or see) a p/n on the bumper itself, just the sticker. hope this helps... and yea, for 30 bones you had better grab it!
