Props on his worksmanship, maybe, but I wouldn't give him props on his creativity.
To me, it requires more than making something unique. Any idiot can create something distinctive. I can weld 50 metal lawn chairs to my truck, it would certainly be unique, not another car in the world like it. Or I can spend hours and hours, and thousands of dollars, making my truck look like a giant computer hard drive. Unique AND difficult, but still not creative. It would be dumb. Creative has to be cool, it has to have an element of desirability to it. This doesn't.
