Steering column swap question
I just got a column from an 89' 4 speed Suburban, will it have any difficulty swapping into my 84' automatic (converted to 4 speed) K10 cab? I'm specifically thinking about stuff like high beams and other wiring things.

Re: Steering column swap question
Someone can correct me if I'm wrong...
But I believe the columns are the same for the 1984-1991 old body style trucks (excluding of course the 88-91 New body style C/K pickups) -Sam

Re: Steering column swap question
yeah 78 and older is the only time you need to worry about the lower shaft.
79-83 is all the same, the 73-78s are hard to interchange unless you swap out the turn signal switch Also some of the 78s used the 79 and up steering shaft b/c I have a 78 tilt column in my 79 -Sam

Re: Steering column swap question
I know pre 84 had the wiper on the dash and high beam on the floor. I was pretty sure before I bought it everything would work, I was hoping no cutting and splicing would have to occur.
