C20 crossmemeber swapped on to a c10
Can i do that? Is it possible? I currently own a 63' C10 and would like to do a front end swap with a 1985 C20. I've been wanting the disc brakes and power steering for some time now and came across an 85' C20 tonight that's being sold for cheap because of a good ol' DUI. Are the two trucks compatible or am I better off sticking with a C10 for the swap? If there is a already a sticky about subject, I do apologize, I looked around and couldn't find an answer. Any info is much appreciated! KT
Both pick-ups are 2wd. |

Re: C20 crossmemeber swapped on to a c10
Usually guys are going the other way....a C20 to a C10 swap. To answer your question, yes you can install a C20 suspension, crossmember and all under your '63 C10. It will be the same as installing a '73-'87 C10 crossmember. You'll have to drill one hole on each side, and elongate one hole on each side.
Here's a thread that should answer any further questions you may have on the subject. http://www.67-72chevytrucks.com/vboa...d.php?t=367260 If not just ask.
