front bumper guards
How can you tell the difference by looking at them which is an aftermarket bumper guard and which is an original gm bumper guard..

Are they stamped inside with a number or where they were manufactured is the bottom front solid or half open...

I never saw aftermarket bumpers, but I just sold a set of OEM bumpers guards and I can tell you that they are relatively heavy pot metal. One of the studs is fixed and the other "floats" a bit. Also, one of the studs has a thin retainer to keep it in place while installing on the bumper. I am guessing that the aftermarket guards will likely be sheet metal, not cast (that is the way they look in the Classic Parts catalog.)

Here is a link to Ebay completed listings for the OEM ones I sold (see pics.) Also, there are some OEM NOS (?) bumper guards on Ebay now (completed listings) - like $325 ???

I see that LMC sells two different versions. One is listed at $110 bucks and the other $80, so I imagine there is a difference. They do look sharp up there.
